In this article, I will discuss all of this. Every category has it’s own pros and cons and you have to be prepared for all the circumstances but always remember one thing higher the popularity of a category tougher the competition and tougher the competition higher the price for it and due to this your CPC rates can also differ but not much definitely in tech category it will be little higher but not much. Making money on YouTube by uploading video is not the only way to earn money. For any category, this is just a part of it. Along with this, a major source of generating more money is sponsorship. Now here comes the category factor which can totally affect the sponsorship. Sponsors give sponsorship to only that category which is very popular so that their sponsorship can get paid off easily. So the first popular category which generates the most revenue is Tech category there is a huge competition in this category. Every day new products and revolutions are taking place in the market so the companies are also fighting to promote their products and every brand wants their ads to be displayed or sponsored to the relevant category or channel and this entire process handled by adword. Technical channels have a huge range of sponsorships and advertisements. If I have to rank this category it would be on top but the only drawback with this category is, not everyone like such channels, there is a limited range of viewers who watch such videos like majority viewers of this category is male It’s not like that only educated people watch these type of videos it is all about the interest factor. Technical category gets ads and sponsorship from companies like latest mobile phones, cameras and other gadgets, software, websites and paid reviews. Now our next category which generates more revenue is Makeup Tutorial category now here I would like to mention one thing that beauty and skin care category is totally different most of the people get confused between two of these and make mistakes while taking the decision. Makeup tutorial channels can get lots and lots of sponsorship if they have a reputed channel. They get monthly subscription’s sponsorship, reviews of big brand’s makeup products, sponsorship from online stores of exclusive skin care/personal care and cosmetics and they pay a decent amount for reviewing their products. This category has a huge competition but this category also restricted from viewer’s perspective the majority of the followers is female. Next, is in most revenue generating category is Web Series or Comedy Web Series. This category has recently got popularized in a vast level. In this category, channels get sponsorships from online shopping stores, different Apps and services and fashion apparel brands. Now this category has a vast viewers range. Their videos are very entertaining and people love to watch such videos no matter which field they belong to. According to me these are the three categories which can generate more revenue for you because in these categories you get opportunities to earn extra money apart from the ads displaying on your videos but on the other hand categories like cooking, skin and health care, prank videos, roast videos and singing channel videos, don’t get such opportunities. Their main source of generating revenue would be ads displaying on their videos. Their viewers might not be age or gender restricted they can have both male and female followers but they do not have many options in terms of sponsorships.

I would suggest don’t think about which category can generate more revenue for you while starting a channel, start your channel with the best you have because if you do what you best at you will definitely find your way out to earn more money so don’t worry about that just start and give it your best.
